Digicel's Rising Stars Top 6

I had every intention of following this year's Digicel Rising Stars Competition but, well friday nights are sticky, I mean, its friday night, and well sundays, i seem to forget. This week however, i manged to see Sunday's episode.

I already have my favourite and that would be Lenya Wilks; girl can sing, and she picks good songs for her voice type and range, which is very smart, just the way to go about wining a competition like this one. Let me give you a run down of what happened, and my views about the top 6 show.

Romaine Virgo: Young littel cutie, he sang "Crazy" by KC- and Jo-Jo. One of my favourite songs but for some reason it never really connected with me. What the judges thought:
Nadine: She liked it basically. I think she commented on the young ladies out there going crazy over him since this competition.
Clide: "this man is incredible"
Anthony: basically he didn't like it.

Jodian Pantry: This girl has talent, but i dont think its right for this competition. I was at the auditions in Kingston and i was impressed with her presentation. She did fanthom of the opera and she did it well. Somehow i knew though that maybe she wouldn't be so popular with the crowd or that, although she does opera style songs very well, her voice might not be so suitable for more R&B style songs. This week she sang a Whitney Houston song, "One Moment in time". I didn't like this song for her voice at all. I wasn't impressed.
Anthony: "This is one moment in time i want to forget soon".
Nadine: "it was enough".
Clide: "not your moment in time tonight"
Both Nadine and Clide thought she was also affected by mic problems.

Tashina Mckenzie: I don't remember much from the other two shows that i watched but this week she sang "Love" by Keyshia Cole. I think she picked a song that complimented her voice but she was too boring, she looked as though she was gonna drop down any minute, she needs to work on her performance. Oh and she needs to work on keeping the right Key.
Anthony: she looked bored and that made the audiences and judges feel bored. Not a performance worthy of top 6.
Clide: Key Problems marred her performance, wasn't particularly impressed either
Nadine: Much better than last week.
All the judges thought she wouldn't get any worst that last week's performance.

Lenya Wilks: This is by far the best person in the competiton this year. I hope Jamaica votes for the best this year. This week she sang "Shining Star" by The Manhattans. She has been consistenttly good. Her voice is strong and she has good voice dynamics.
Anthony: she has good range and depth and it was a pleasure listening to her
Clide: complimented her good voice
Nadine: Its clear she loves to sing

Kaino: He sang "Lifted" by John Legend. Personally, the performance wasn't particularly entertaining, he can sing, but its gonna take more than just holding a note to win this competition.
Nadine: liked his performance
Anthony: said he seems to be getting better, "still light weight" but pleasant
Clide: "you have done well, well done"
